is giving light to the downtrodden community in their social, educational
and economical upliftment.
About DPRS/EC: The DPRS is established to realise the importance of education among Malaysians, that education is the foundation of socio-economic development of the people and our nation. The development of Malaysians to be a Best-In-Class Society and recognised around the world is our objective and creed. There are however many under-privileged people which may lack of support and financially incapable of continuing their studies to a higher level. Our aim is to create an awareness among the under-privileged the importance of education and to assist them educationally and economically. This will keep the under-privileged abreast with the latest developments in all fields through a wholesome education.
Message from the President of DPRS Mr. K. Panjamurti, JSM., ASA., AMN., PJK Dear fellow people, Malaysia is a land of opportunities. People who identify and participate in the opportunities contribute to both their self-development and national growth. Except some privileged people, most of the people of different ethnic origins and different communities failed to identify and participate in opportunities that help develop the nation. To be specific, the Indian community being largely ignorant and negligent keeps itself away from the mainstream national development opportunities. There are neglected sections in all ethnic origins whose future seems to be blurred and chaotic. Their lack of participation in the radical way in which the nation is progressing will significantly affect the national growth and their self-betterment in the long run. It is evident that they are very much lacking the right vision, required awareness, knowledge, and resources to identify and participate in opportunities. The situation is sometimes very worse for them to effectively participate but very often they are largely ignorant and succumbed to lead a subdued life. For any progressive nation, it is dangerous to leave these people as they are. Being ignored, this mass would not only become an obstacle in the national development but also would involve in wrong doings and illegal activities. Development of this mass would bring peace and prosperity to both the mass and the nation. The DPRS (EC - Malaysia) is a social movement dedicated to uplift this ignorant mass economically, educationally and socially. The end goal is to prepare and guide this mass so that it develops itself and contribute to the nation by effectively participating in opportunities. In this pursuit, the first step that the DPRS has undertaken is to EDUCATE this mass. Both academic education and social education must shape them towards effectively participating in opportunities. The campaign that the DPRS had started upon its incorporation in the year 2000 that "ONE FAMILY ONE GRADUATE" should at least bring this mass into the mainstream academic education. The DPRS has tweaked this mass on this direction by conducting several workshops, awareness programmes, conferences, seminars, counseling, and offering financial assistance. Social education is the cornerstone for any society to prosper. The society must adopt appropriate culture, be responsive to appropriate changes and constantly prepare itself to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve the competitive edge. The DPRS has committed to prepare a socially conscious mass so that this neglected mass takes pride in participating efficiently in opportunities in business, economy, education, and national development. The DPRS is the only plank where all likely minded volunteers, cadres and leaders can act to promote the underprivileged mass, which lives in the dark for years. It has the right vision, right leadership and right infrastructure to put this mass on the mainstream development opportunities. The DPRS has international coalition with its counterparts in India and USA working on this noble cause. Let us also give our hands to our counterparts in successfully achieving their mission. My dear people and fellow members of DPRS, let us all shed our differences, focus on our common vision and work shoulder to shoulder to bring light in the lives of the ignorant and downtrodden mass. Serving the ignorant, downtrodden and depressed mass is the best work of life.
